Looking for an easy way to give back? Well globalgiving has made it easier than ever! Their website has links to thousands of different types of donations that you can give back to with the click of your mouse. One specific donation/ project that stands for a very good cause is being distributed through Martha's Table Foundation. The project is called the School Yard in Inner City DC. Martha's Table is an organization focusing on finding solutions to poverty in the short term with food and clothing programs. In the long term, this organization hopes to break the cycle of poverty with education and family strengthening problems.
These two non-profit organizations, globalgiving and Martha's Table, are great to work together because their missions are very similar, as they do in the school yard project. Through globalgiving, this project provides 250 children with the tools to plant and grow fresh produce in a school yard garden, which will be distributed by Martha’s Table to over 2600 children, families, and individuals.

The whole purpose of this project is to address the issues of hunger, poverty, and malnutrition of children, and families in Washington, D.C. Now how does Martha's Table profit from this? The purpose is to educate the children with hands on experience of creating there own garden, actually growing produce while learning how to plant and maintain a garden. By doing this they can acquire the knowledge and the ability to feed themselves and others. Lindsey Buss, the President of Martha's Table says, "This garden creates a hands-on way for our children to learn about food, nutrition, health, science, the environment, and the community."

The project will serve over 2600 people and educate low-income youth about heath and nutrition. The 2600 people get fresh produce from the actual garden.
