Clean Up and Repair

Clean windows and siding, make sure outdoor lighting works, stow away yard tools and equipment and clean up dead branches and leaves. Also make sure walkways and driveways are in good repair. A well-taken care of home is more attractive to buyers.

Front Doors

A front door should reflect the style of your home. Make sure if the paint is faded you add a fresh coat of paint or perhaps even swap out the hardware if it is dated or not working properly.

Landscaping

It may not be necessary to do a full landscape overhaul but be sure that especially the front yard is well maintained. Trim overgrown shrubs and remove weeds. If possible add some colorful flowering plants.

Paint it New

Painting the exterior can add significantly to your home's value. Nothing crazy or unusual, though. Take care of peeling or chipping even if you don't want to repaint entirely.
